Summary
Aim. Evaluation of the level of nutrition knowledge of the students from the Air Force Military Academy in Dęblin.
Materials & methods. The research group consisted of 100 cadets from the Department of Aviation in the Air Force Military Academy in Dęblin, 87 male and 13 female respondents. Own questionnaire consisting of 22 questions was used to evaluate the level of knowledge of proper nutrition.
Results and conclusions. The level of nutrition knowledge in the examined group was varied. General knowledge of the principles of proper nutrition was satisfactory. Unfortunately, some of the questions were very difficult for the cadets, especially those relating to the sources of saturated and unsaturated fatty acids in everyday diet. It is worrying that for the vast majority of the cadets the Internet is the main source of knowledge about proper nutrition.
